Guests come to Greystone Lodge for peace and quiet so we do not allow noise of any kind at Greystone Lodge.

It is often possible to allow a late check out, particularly on a Sunday, but only if there is no guest due to check in to that chalet the same or following day. Please ask if you would like a late checkout and we will help where we can.

We wilI still need to collect the linens for the laundry at 11am to ensure the chalet can be made ready on time.

Sometimes it is possible to allow an early check in – it always depends on completion of chalet preparation after the previous guest has left. Just ask and we will help if we can.

Yes, there is a Liquor Store in Dullstroom.  Dullstroom Country Bottle Store, just next to Pam Golding as you enter Dullstroom.  Call them on 013 254 0852.

Yes, all of the chalets have a wood-burning fireplace and wood is supplied free of charge for both that and the outdoor braai, both of which are cleaned daily for you as part of the chalet service regime.

Yes, Lebamba is a great grocery store in Dullstroom.  It is located on the left hand side as you enter Dullstroom from Belfast side at the Pam Golding centre.

NO, we do not allow music to be played at Greystone Lodge inside or outside your units so as not to disturb other guests who come for peace and quiet. Should you book out the entire lodge for an event then you are welcome to play music as loud as you want.

Yes, there are 2 Filling Stations in Dullstroom.  Puma on your left as you enter Dullstroom from Belfast side and further down the road is MBT Filling Station.  They are NOT open 24 hours.

Yes, there are FNB, ABSA and Standard Bank ATMs. Over long weekends these usually run out of cash, so come prepared.

Wood for the fireplace and braai is provided free of charge and topped up every day.

No, we only stock Rainbow Trout. Bass Fishing is not very common in Dullstroom although a few establishments do have Bass fishing for their guests (no day visitors allowed unfortunately). This is strictly a fly-fishing area so only appropriate equipment may be used. We operate a catch & release policy for which there is no charge, but should you wish to keep a fish it is charged at R100/kg, ungutted.

We supply Jacobs Coffee, Rooibos Tea, Five Roses Tea, Brown Sugar, White Sugar, Sweetener and Fresh Farm Milk (the latter on request) in all the chalets.

We supply all towels and linens,and these are changed every three days unless we are asked to change them before that time

No, we no longer offer Clay Pigeon Shooting at Greystone Lodge.  However if you would like to do this activity, please let us know and we can arrange a visit to one of our neighbours who offers this activity.  Booking in advance is essential.

No, we don’t have horses but we can recommend great establishments in and near Dullstroom that offer horse riding.

No, we no longer allow you to hunt at Greystone Lodge. Our Blesbok herd is managed through a responsible Environmental Specialist.  Please contact Gerhard Delport on 0836224961.  He will be able to assist you with hunting.

21km, of which 13km are on a gravel road which is not suitable for low cars.  Standard vehicles manage perfectly.

Yes, there are a few places you can buy Meat and Biltong. Contact us and we will gladly recommend our favourites to you.

Yes, all units are stocked with complimentary amenities.

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own mountain bikes. We do not have bikes for hire any longer.

WiFi is available at the lodge.

Yes, we have mountain bike trails and you can also follow some of the routes outside the lodge.

No we don’t have a swimming pool. The reason this is a famous trout fishing area is that the water up here at 2000 metres is really cold, the way the fish like it – and you wouldn’t.
